Knitting Olympics

It's insane, but I've signed up for this, despite it starting a week before Textiles in Focus which swallows up the week around it, and being at SkipNorth for the second weekend. I'm going to do the Triangles within Triangles shawlette in this:

Cloud 9 from Heritage Yarns. It almost looks too pretty in the ball to knit.

  1. Tee hee! I knew you wouldn't be able to resist (and somehow it felt wrong that the quickest knitter I know wasn't intending to enter). I know you'll finish it - gorgeous pattern, and gorgeous yarn (you're right - it's very pretty in the ball).

  2. I'm still tussling with myself about entering the Olympics - over 2,500 at last count, wasn't there? I've got to knit my ample mother a cardi. and I've got to frog what I've started - so I was going to make this my challenge. I can't wait to see the finished shawl - should be a beauty!

  3. Hi Liz,
I found your blog through Yarn Harlot's site. I also have joined the Knitting Olympics just a few days ago. I am sitting here writing you shaking my head with amazement at just how way cool this is. I have joined "Team Canada" as well for the Knitting Olympics and was putting a couple of the buttons on my blog when I saw your "Team Cambridge" button and followed the link to your blog. My online persona is Lyzert aka Lyz and my name is Liz. I live in Cambridge too! but it's Cambridge, Ontario Canada!! and i have joined the knitting olympics. I think that three coincidences like this is a very awesome omen! :)
Hi Liz, nice to meet you :D
I love the pic of the Triangles within Triangles Shawl. Very beautiful pattern. Good luck to you with your knitting event. I love your button btw.
    Huggs to you,
Liz (Lyz) from Cambridge too :)
